A few reasons a download may fail: (1) The content is private, age-restricted or login-required — Unisaver can only download publicly visible media. (2) The platform recently changed its internal API and the scraper needs an update. (3) The platform actively blocks third-party download tools (Spotify, Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime). (4) All fallback servers are temporarily busy — try again in a minute. For consistent access to the most platforms, the Unisaver Android app uses a built-in browser and can detect media from virtually any site.

The available qualities depend on what the video was originally uploaded in. Not every video has 4K or 1440p — those qualities only show up if the creator uploaded at that resolution. Unisaver fetches the real format list for each specific video: muxed streams (🔊 video+audio, up to 720p) and adaptive video-only streams (🎬 1080p, 1440p, 2160p/4K). If you only see 720p and 1080p, that video genuinely has no higher resolution available.

YouTube stores video and audio as separate adaptive streams for resolutions above 720p. The 🎬 badge on a quality chip means video-only — audio is in a separate track. The 🔊 badge means video and audio are combined (muxed) in a single file, which is available up to 720p. To get 1080p+ with audio in one file you would need a server-side merge tool like FFmpeg, which is available in the Unisaver Android app.
