Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how CreedStack Motions Limited ("we", "us", "our") handles information in connection with the Upload HD Status mobile application ("the App"). Upload HD Status accepts high-resolution photos and videos, optimizes them locally for the best practical quality on WhatsApp Status, and opens the system share sheet so you can post them. We built it to be private by design.
Upload HD Status is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by WhatsApp or Meta. "WhatsApp" is a trademark of its respective owner and is referenced here only to describe what the App is for.
Information we collect
We do not collect any personal information. The App has no sign-up, no login, and no user account. It does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, or location.
The photos and videos you open in the App, and the optimized versions it produces, stay on your device. They are not transmitted to us or to any third party. There is no server component that receives your media.
How your media is processed
- All inspection (resolution, duration, frame rate, HDR/SDR, file size) and all optimization (resizing, sharpening, HDR-to-SDR tone-mapping, re-encoding, and splitting long videos) happen on your device.
- The App uses your device's own image and video frameworks to do this work. It needs no internet connection to optimize your media.
- On export, we strip metadata (such as location and camera EXIF) from the produced file.
- Your original files are never modified or moved. The App creates new, separate output files.
Photo & media access
To bring media in, the App uses your operating system's system photo picker (or an incoming "Share" from Photos or Files). This means the App only ever receives the specific item you choose to hand it. It does not request broad ("all photos") library access and cannot browse the rest of your gallery.
If you choose to save an optimized export back to your device, the App may request permission to add that file to your photo library. You can decline and still share directly from the App.
On-device storage & retention
- Optimized exports are written to the App's own working area on your device.
- The App keeps an optional "recent exports" list so you can find something you made. This list is local-only, can be turned off, and auto-expires after 14 days.
- Temporary files created during processing are cleaned up automatically, including when you cancel an export.
- Nothing in this history is sent anywhere. Clearing it, or uninstalling the App, removes it completely.
What we do not do
- We do not upload your photos or videos.
- We do not sell, rent, or share personal data — because we do not collect it.
- The App ships with no third-party advertising SDK and no third-party analytics SDK.
- We do not track you across apps or websites.
- We do not post to WhatsApp (or anywhere) on your behalf. The final posting step is always an action you take in the share sheet.
Diagnostics
If the App logs technical diagnostics to help fix crashes, those logs are kept on the device and are engineered not to include full file paths, personal filenames, or media metadata. We do not receive these logs automatically. If you ever choose to email us a description of a problem, only what you write to us is shared.
App Store & platform services
The App is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Apple and Google may each collect their own information (for example, aggregate download and crash statistics) under their respective policies — Apple's Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy. That collection is controlled by the store, not by us, and is separate from the App's own behaviour described above.
Children's privacy
The App is rated for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. Because we collect no personal information from anyone, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has somehow provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will address it.
Your rights & choices
Because the App holds no personal data about you on our systems, there is nothing for us to export or erase on our end. You remain in full control on your device:
- Clear the recent-exports history from the App's settings at any time.
- Uninstall the App to remove all of its locally stored data.
- Revoke the photo-library "add" permission at any time in your device settings.
If you are in a region with data-protection laws such as the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA, the rights those laws grant (access, correction, deletion, portability) apply to personal data a business holds about you — and we hold none. You can still contact us with any question.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if the App changes. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision. If a future version of the App were ever to introduce a feature that collects data (for example, an optional cloud backup), we would update this page and request your consent where required before that feature did anything.
